Knife making is a skilled and intricate craft that involves the forging, shaping,
and finishing of blades to create functional and aesthetically pleasing knives.
This knife making course is hands-on and provides participants with the knowledge
and techniques necessary to create their own custom knives.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
Knives are humanity’s oldest tool, older even than our management of fire
and the hardest working knives in the world are Kitchen Knives.
In this two day course you will make your own kitchen knife.
You will grind, sand, heat treat and sharpen your own knives all while learning
about the fundamentals of good knife making.
At the end of the course you’ll walk away with your own knife, a true kitchen heirloom.
You’ll also have gained knowledge about how to make knives using the stock removal method,
heat treatment and will have the foundations to learn further knife making skills.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please wear sturdy work clothes to this course.
All other equipment and protective wear will be provided
